Freshworks Inc. has announced the appointment of Murali Swaminathan as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Swaminathan joins the company from ServiceNow, where he held the position of Vice President of Engineering. In his new role, Swaminathan will oversee Freshworks’ technology strategy and lead the company’s global engineering and architecture divisions.
With a career spanning over three decades in software engineering and management, Swaminathan brings extensive experience and a strong record of developing scalable, high-quality, and secure products. At ServiceNow, he was responsible for managing the company’s leading IT Service Management and Strategic Portfolio Management solutions, designed for large-scale enterprises.
Prior to his tenure at ServiceNow, Swaminathan was the Vice President of Engineering at Recommind (now OpenText), and he also held significant roles at CA Technologies (now Broadcom Inc.).
